PAGES' activities are overseen by an international Scientific Steering Committee (SSC). This is its annual in-person meeting.

*Update 12 March 2020 - meeting changed to online*

In light of the COVID-19 WHO recommendations, the PAGES SSC Meeting will now be held online at various times between 23-27 March.

Cape Town University

In general, the annual SSC meeting is a closed meeting for SSC members and a few invited guests; however, anyone with a particular interest in attending parts of the meeting that could be open to the community should contact Marie-France Loutre.

In addition, the Executive Committee (EXCOM) (a subset of five SSC members) will also hold a short evening meeting during this period to decide on the approval of new working groups and workshop financial support, among other items.

*Update 12 March 2020. The Symposium has been cancelled.*

As well as the two-day SSC meeting, the schedule will also include a one-day paleoscience symposium, titled "Using long-term data for sustainability, resilience and biodiversity conservation" open to PAGES' African paleoscience community members, to be held at the University of Cape Town.
