The Department of Geography, Durham University, UK, is seeking to hire a Lecturer in Geochemistry.

This position is for four years, fixed term.

Description

This is a research and teaching post (~equivalent to Assistant Professor level), and the department is looking for someone whose research complements and extends its work in themes of palaeoclimate, carbon and nutrient cycling, and earth surface processes.

The Geography Department has extensive analytical facilities, which comprise of instruments for inorganic (IC, ICP-MS, ICP-OES) and organic (GC-MS, GC-FID, GC-IRMS) geochemistry.

The neighbouring Earth Sciences department has extensive clean lab and isotope geochemistry facilities.
