2 Grad Student Positions, Climatology - Nth/Sth Carolina, USA

Two Graduate Research Assistantships are available related to the NSF-funded project "High Frequency Hydroclimate Extremes and Synoptic Climate Drivers in Western North America at the End of the Little Ice Age."

Description

One position will be with Dr. Erika Wise at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, USA, and will focus on tree-ring science and data-model integration to answer questions concerning synoptic climatology and hydroclimate extremes.

The second position will be with Dr. Cary Mock at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, USA, focusing on historical geography, synoptic climatology, and extreme climate and weather events.

Both positions will include tuition, provide academic-year and summer salary, conference travel funding, and publication costs, and offer training in multidisciplinary approaches to climatology and science communication.
