In the broad field of Earth Sciences (Geology) in many sub-disciplines including Quaternary Geology – Paleoclimatology – Environmental studies; using various geological archives (cave sediments, speleothems, lake sediments, soils, geomorphological transects) and geochemical, stratigraphic, petrological as well as isotopic proxies to the reconstruction of the Quaternary climate and environmental as well as archaeological history of Ethiopia; understanding of future climate variability, impacts, and possible mitigation and adaptation measures.
