2, Performing pollen analysis for late-Quaternary lacustrine and peat sediments and establishing taxonomically harmonized and temporally standardized fossil pollen datasets.
3, Reconstructing past vegetation and climate at a regional- or continental-scale to reveal past biogeographical patterns of the terrestrial biosphere and interpret their driving forces for East Asia and the Northern Hemisphere.
