Closing the gap: North Carpathian loess traverse in the Eurasia

The aim of INQUA project 1005 is to assemble experienced and young loess researchers to study loess in Poland and western Ukraine and to apply advanced and comparable methods in joint research.

A two days conference (workshop) will be held in Wroc!aw University on 16 and 17 May, 2011. It will be followed by four days excursion. The excursion will focus on Late Pleistocene loess-palaeosol sequences in the area and the differentiation of coeval lithostratigraphic units. Oral and poster contributions dealing with new methods in loess research (including dating) and/or regional studies are invited.
