Paleoclimate Proxy Data for Reconstructing Holocene Environments of West Asia

To be held at the 4th International Congress on the Archaeology of the Ancient Near East

This workshop aims to synthesize all proxy data retrieved from ice, lake, marine and speleothem cores across West Asia and adjacent regions to establish a synoptic sequence of natural Holocene climate stages defined by their precipitation, temperature, seasonality and other qualities. This synthesis would provide a base-line for examining anthropogenic environmental alterations during the period 12-3kaBP.
