The Japan Geoscience Union (JpGU) is pleased to announce that the JpGU Meeting 2018 will be held from 20-24 May 2018 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
JpGU is an academic union that encompasses all the Earth and Planetary Sciences disciplines and related fields, organizing annual meetings since 2005.

Abstracts
The abstract submission site will open from 10 January to 19 February at 17:00 (JST) 2018.
Early-bird Submission Deadline is 5 February at 23:59 (JST) 2018.
Sessions
Sessions in JpGU meetings are categorized into 7 JpGU Categories and subcategories. Union and Public Sessions are sessions out of these 7 categories.
Union (U): Sessions to present the up-to date frontier topics related to all earth and planetary sciences related community.
Public (O): Sessions open to the public to promote scientists' outreach activities, and to help societies' understandings of research fields of our union.
1. Space and Planetary Sciences (P): Planetary Science, Solar Terrestrial Physics, Space Physics, Space Electromagnetism Exoplanetology... etc.
2. Atmospheric and Hydrospheric Sciences (A): Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Atmospheric Environment, Ocean Sciences, Hydrology, Limnology, Ground Water Hydrology, Cryospheric Sciences, Geoenvironmental Science, Climate Change Research...etc.

7. Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary (M): Session that cannot be categorized into one session, Joint Symposium with other scientific societies...etc.
