The 23rd International Radiocarbon Conference will take place from 17-22 June 2018 in Trondheim, Norway.

It is organized by the National Laboratories for Age Determination, NTNU University Museum.

Venue

The conference will take place at the Scandic Lerkendal hotel in Trondheim.

Description

Radiocarbon dating is one of the main methods used to determine the timing of climatic and environmental changes and to correlate records of such changes in different archives and localities. At the upcoming Trondheim meeting, a broad spectrum of themes, ranging from technical developments to archaeology, past changes in climate, and present and past carbon cycling in the oceans and in soils will be presented and discussed. The proceedings will be published in the journal Radiocarbon.

The 23rd International Radiocarbon Conference will follow the traditional format. The conference will last five days, with social events in the evening, including an ice breaker on Sunday evening 17 June and connecting workshops and excursions.

Workshops

Workshops for users of Ionplus and NEC systems will take place on Sunday 17 June. Other workshops may be arranged on demand.
