Heckenbeck, Bad Gandersheim, Germany
The 27th Course in Econometric Climate Time Series Analysis will be held from 12-16 August 2019 in Heckenbeck, Bad Gandersheim, Germany.
Description
Climate Risk Analysis is holding its 27th Course in Econometric Climate Time Series Analysis. This time the course targets climate researchers and students who also assess the economic impacts of climate change.
The course is specifically tailored to the needs of MSc students, PhD students and postdocs, who wish to learn about an important combination of disciplines (climate change, economics, and time series analysis), but have had so far not much exposure to in-depth mathematical or statistical teaching.
It will also be attractive for professional researchers who wish to update their knowledge. Organizers assume that participants come from somewhere in the range of climatology, ecology, environmental sciences, geosciences, meteorology, or hydrology — and that there is an interest in economic quantification (e.g. the damages associated with extreme climate events or the effects of climate policies).
A significant part of the course part is devoted to training in "Open Sessions", where we recapitulate concepts, answer basic and advanced questions, discuss applications and devote time to in-depth analyses of your own data.
