The Varves Working Group (VWG) has instigated an online seminar series to maintain and stimulate discussion within the varve community while it remains difficult to meet at conferences during the pandemic.

Description

The group intends to hold a webinar once a month, and the 2021 program is still under construction. If you are interested in presenting any aspect of your work, please contact the new group leaders (details below).

Seminar 1

Thursday 3 December at 15:00 UTC.

Pierre Francus will present "A decade of exciting science within the Varves Working Group."

Pierre is a key member of the international varve community and was a driving force behind the initiation of the Varves Working Group. In the past year, he and co-founders Bernd Zolitschka and Antii Ojala have stepped down as group leaders. In this presentation, Pierre will discuss his perspective on varve research and recent advances that have been made.
