The PAGES 2k Network will hold a second online Town Hall meeting on 9 June 2021 at 7:00 UTC and 17:00 UTC.
The meetings are being held at two different times on the same day to cover different time zones.
No registration is required.
Description
Over the past several months, the 2k Network leaders have received excellent and constructive feedback from the PAGES 2k community (i.e., you!) on the top priorities for study of the Common Era.
They heard enthusiastic support for proposing a new phase of the PAGES 2k project and plenty of desire to get involved. You identified a need to dive more deeply into the past 2000 years (rather than extending the time period), directing our efforts towards hydroclimate, regional climate patterns, data-model integration, proxy system models, data curation, and cross-database collaboration.

Aims
At this Town Hall the plans are to:
- Identify scientific questions, datasets, and objectives most ripe for international collaboration in the 2k community, which may govern the proposal writing;
- Identify subgroups of people interested in different sub-topics;
- Discuss a few different strategies for coordination;
- Identify a group to drive the proposal development for a 4th phase.
