ECORD Summer School 2013: Deep-Sea Sediments: From Stratigraphy to Age Models
This summer school will combine lab exercises on IODP-style shipboard methodologies (virtual ship) as well as interactive lectures by world-leading scientists in the fi elds of stratigraphy and time series analysis. Participation will raise the awareness of young scientists for the need of ocean drilling approaches and prepare them for future work, which will be critical in the coming decades to understand the time scale of geological and paleoclimatatological processes. The summer school will take advantage of the unique and integrated facilities o ffered by the IODP Bremen Core Repository (BCR) and the MARUM laboratories.
