The aim of this workshop is to bring together locally based African researchers with their international peers from different disciplines studying African (paleo) climate and its impact on the global climate system with particular emphasis on the climate and vegetation interactions. We want to facilitate exchange of expertise, access to state-of-art facilities, and networks as well as to define and develop cutting-edge collaborative projects.
This meeting should also help early-career African scientists to develop their own capacities and a mind-set enabling them to get into contact with internationally recognized experts and access to laboratory facilities.
