ICECReW (Ice Core Early-Career Researchers Workshop) 1.5-day workshop before US Ice Core Open Science Meeting.
Logistics
Date: 7-8 May 2023 (ahead of the US Ice Core Open Science Meeting (May 8-10))
Location: University of Washington, Seattle, USA
Description
ICECReW is an opportunity for early-career researchers to meet and discuss ice core science.
The focus of this year’s workshop is encouraging collaboration and generating proposal ideas.
Who is ICECReW for?
ICECReW is intended for early-career researchers whose work contribute to the drilling, processing, and/or interpretation of ice core data. We broadly define “early career” as someone within 3 years of PhD (before or after completion), although exceptions are certainly possible.
Registration and participation
More details and a short application for the workshop will be announced in February. We anticipate being able to support the cost of an additional two nights’ lodging for US participants, but are not covering other travel expenses this year. Travel to/from the US Ice Core Science Meeting will be at the participants’ own expense.
Organizing Committee
Ursula Jongebloed, Emma Robertson, Julia Andreasen, T.J. Fudge, and Bess Koffman.
