AmeriDendro 2013: Second American Dendrochronology Conference

Location
Tucson, AZ, United States
Meeting Category

Everyone working with the technique of tree-ring dating in the Americas is welcome to contribute to this conference. Submissions from research in South America and Mesoamerica are especially encouraged. The conference will include oral presentations, posters, workshops, and field trips. Topics will cover everything from the biological basis of ring formation to practical applications of tree-ring chronologies in many disciplines.

Abstract submission is now open on the conference web site. Submissions are due not later than December 1, 2012. You will receive notice of acceptance not later than February 1, 2013. Abstracts should be limited to 150 words. Please indicate if you prefer an oral or a poster presentation. Further, we ask you to prioritize the top three preferred sessions for your presentation from the list below.

Oral presentations will be 15 minutes in length with an additional 5 minutes for discussion. Dedicated poster sessions will be organized separately from oral sessions. While we aim to provide everyone who prefers an oral presentation with this opportunity, time constraints may necessitate recommending some oral proposals for poster format. In addition to the above mentioned sessions, a number of workshops, open to all participants, will be organized on Monday, May 13. We have identified the following potential workshop topics, but invite you to submit additional suggestions to ameridendro2013atltrr.arizona.edu (ameridendro2013[at]ltrr[dot]arizona[dot]edu)
