Scientists from South-American countries will intermingle with European and US scientists and discuss their results on millennial-scale variability. There will be four keynote talks by leading experts on tropical south American climate variability. Each expert will present a state of the art from his own sub-discipline: paleoecology, paleoceanography, geochemistry and speleothem records. Participants will also present existing data on millennial-scale climate variability from ocean and terrestrial archives, as well as from model simulations.
