The International Symposium on Eastern Mediterranean Geology (ISEMG) is a series of symposiums dedicated to exploring the geological aspects of the Eastern Mediterranean region.

The ISEMG aims to provide a permanent platform for experts in geology, geophysics, mining and other geosciences to share and discuss their recent work and hereby establish international networks among several disciplines of Geosciences.

Since 1992, the symposium has been held in several countries, such as Israel, Jordan, Cyprus, Greece and Turkey. Since then, the community of ISEMG has been continuously increasing. In 2014, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University will host the “8th International Symposium on Eastern Mediterranean Geology (8. ISEMG)”.

Sessions on a large diversity of topics in Earth Sciences and field trips to spectacular geological sites will be organized. The following subjects of Earth Sciences are now open for session proposals. Please consider leading a session in ISEMG 2014.
