ESF EuroCLIMATE Spring School "Late Quaternary Timescales and Chronology"

The Chronology Spring School aims to instruct graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in the advantages and limitations of different dating and statistical techniques in understanding Late Quaternary timescales.

Specific issues to be addressed are:

(i) Choice of dating method and sample material (14C, U/Th, IRSL/OSL, Ar/Ar; dendrochronology, tephrochronology, laminated sediments, speleothems);

(ii) Calibration and age-depth model construction;

(iii) Correlation among archives.

The spring school is open to the entire paleoclimate community.
