1st Asia2k Workshop

This workshop is organized as a part of the IGBP-PAGES Focus 2 activity to elaborate the state-of- science in our understanding of climate variability during the last 2 millennia in Asian region. Although there have been many studies relating to the 2K paleoclimate reconstructions in Asian region, we have not fully integrated them all together to be compared with the 2K reconstructions in other regions in the world and the paleoclimate modeling.

This 1st Asia 2k Workshop is the first occasion to review, correlate and synthesize all individual proxy-based findings (tree ring, stalagmite, coral ring, sediment, ice core, historical documents etc.) in the Asian region and surrounding ocean for the past two thousand years.
