IPCC opens registration for the Government and Expert review of the Draft of Synthesis Report of the Sixth Assessment Report

The IPCC is inviting experts to participate as Expert Reviewers in the IPCC AR6 Synthesis Report Government and Expert Review of the First Order Draft. 

Please note that such Experts provide reviews under their own name. They do not represent the observer organization (ie the IAI). The review of draft reports is a key element of the IPCC assessment process. The IPCC Procedures state that the Expert review process shall be objective, open and transparent, with a wide circulation that aims to involve as many independent Experts as possible in the IPCC process, seeking a range of views, Expertise, and geographical representation.

As of today, interested experts can register for participation in the review here. The Government and Expert Review of the Synthesis Report of the Sixth Assessment Report will take place from 10 January to 20 March 2022, 23:59 (GMT+1). 

Registration of experts closes on 13 March 2021, 23:59 (GMT+1), one week before the end of the review.
