1. IPCC AR6 - Nominations via Future Earth due 23 Oct

If you missed the chance to be nominated by PAGES as an IPCC AR6 Lead Author, Coordinating Lead Author and Expert Reviewer for the IPCC's 6th Assessment Report (AR6) (our deadline was 14 October), there is still the chance to be nominated via Future Earth.

Check the agreed chapter outlines for Working Group I, Working Group II and Working Group III (access the outlines and related nomination forms here: http://pastglobalchanges.org/news/all-news-items/9-latest-news/1824-remind-ipcc-ar6 and submit your nomination suggestion to Kaela Slavik: kaela.slavikatfutureearth.org (kaela[dot]slavik[at]futureearth[dot]org) Send her a short CV (PDF format, strictly less than 4 pages) together with the completed form by 23.59 CET 23 October.

The IPCC seeks young scientists and scientists from less-favored countries. The IPCC covers the costs for LA/CLA/ER attending the IPCC meeting for the south. For the north the costs are covered either by the government or the individual institution.

2. New working group and meeting support deadlines 23 Oct

If you have already advised an SSC member that you intend to submit a new working group proposal (open call) or application for workshop support (current PAGES working groups only), this is a reminder to submit the full application by 23 October. All details here: http://pastglobalchanges.org/news/all-news-items/9-latest-news/1813-new-wg-prop-sep-17 and here: http://pastglobalchanges.org/news/all-news-items/9-latest-news/1814-pages-meet-sup-sep-17
