The official call for financial support happens twice per year. The next deadline for applications for financial support for workshops and meetings will be announced shortly.
The proposal form for workshops/meetings that require a funding decision to be made before or after the next funding call deadline is called "Fast-track".
To be considered for Fast-track PAGES' support, applications must state a convincing reason for requiring a "fast-track" funding decision. Other criteria include:
- Relevance to PAGES' Science Structure
- Open i.e. offering an opportunity for interested colleagues to register or submit an application
- International participation. Please keep in mind travel restrictions when choosing a meeting location and consider alternative ways of participation for those unable to travel, i.e. recording major presentations, having online presentations etc.
- Investigate the possibilities of holding the event as a hybrid meeting (online and in-person element)
- Multi-disciplinary involvement
- Forward thinking
- Aiming to integrate, coordinate, and/or synthesize
- Encouraging the participation of early-career scientists (until ca. 5 years after PhD) and those from developing countries (including BRICS countries).
If you are applying for fast-track support for an official PAGES working group, first read the criteria here before filling out the application form. PAGES Fast-track support is around US$5000 per workshop/meeting. Occasionally, in the case of official PAGES working groups, the amount of financial support can be increased.
If you are applying for open call fast-track support, first read the criteria here before filling out the application form. PAGES Fast-track support is usually around US$5000 per workshop/meeting.
If you are applying for educational fast-track support, first read the criteria here before filling out the application form. PAGES Fast-track support is usually around US$5000 per workshop/meeting. Funding is typically allocated to support the travel costs of participants from developing countries or the attendance of international scientists at meetings in developing countries.
Please note: The online form will time-out after 1 hour. To avoid loss of data, prepare your proposal offline using this template (MS Word) and then copy-paste text blocks into the form.
Both the Word template and online form were updated on 12 February 2024.
